Terms & Conditions

The legal terms on which Taruma Space Ltd provides coaching, CV, workshop and related services. Please read them before booking.

Last updated: 1 April 2026 · Version 3.0

1. About us

These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) apply to all services provided by Taruma Space Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”, or “Taruma Space”), a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is at 14 Kingsway, Cardiff CF10 3AQ, United Kingdom. You can contact us by email at [email protected] or by telephone on +44 7772 889900.

2. These terms

By booking any service, attending any workshop, or otherwise engaging with us (“you”, the “Client”) you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

We may amend these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking is the version that applies to that engagement. The current version is published on this page and timestamped above.

3. Our services

We provide career coaching, CV and cover-letter rewriting, interview preparation, communication workshops and UK job-market strategy services. We are not a recruitment agency and we are not an immigration adviser. We do not guarantee job offers, salary outcomes, visa approvals or any specific commercial result.

Any opinion, assessment or recommendation we give is based on our professional experience and is offered in good faith. It does not constitute legal, financial, medical or immigration advice.

4. Bookings and fees

Our services are offered at the prices displayed on our website at the time of booking, or as quoted in a separate written proposal. All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and, where applicable, exclusive of VAT. VAT will be charged at the prevailing UK rate where we are required to do so.

A booking is confirmed only when we issue a written confirmation by email. Payment is due in full in advance of the first scheduled session unless we have agreed an instalment plan in writing.

We accept payment by bank transfer and by credit or debit card via our payment processor. You are responsible for any bank charges or currency conversion fees imposed by your own bank.

5. Cancellation and rescheduling

By you — 14-day right. If you book as a consumer (rather than in the course of a business), you have the right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel your booking within 14 calendar days of confirmation, without giving any reason, and to receive a full refund — provided that no services have yet been delivered.

Where you have expressly asked us to begin work during the 14-day period (for example, starting a CV rewrite immediately), we may charge you a proportionate amount for the services delivered up to the point we receive your cancellation notice.

By you — after 14 days. Once the 14-day period has ended, cancellations are accepted on the following basis: more than 7 days before your first session, we will refund 100% of fees less any fees for work already delivered; between 7 and 2 days before, we will refund 50%; less than 48 hours before, no refund is given. One rescheduling is permitted free of charge provided we receive at least 48 hours' notice.

By us. If we cancel or reschedule a session for reasons within our control, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund of the affected session at your choice.

6. Workshops

Open workshop bookings are non-transferable between individuals without our prior written consent. Seats are released on a first-come basis and may become unavailable at any time. If we cancel a scheduled open workshop because fewer than four seats have been filled, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

7. Client obligations

To get value from our services, we ask that you: provide accurate and complete information about your background and objectives; share documents we reasonably request in advance of scheduled sessions; arrive on time for calls and in-person sessions; and engage with any pre-work or homework we assign between sessions.

We work honestly and directly. If we believe we are not the right fit for you, we will say so and, where we can, refer you to someone better placed to help.

8. Intellectual property

All materials, frameworks, templates, written notes and digital resources created by us remain our intellectual property and are licensed to you for your personal, non-commercial use in connection with your own job search or career development. You may not reproduce, republish, resell, teach from, or commercially exploit our materials without our prior written consent.

CVs, cover letters and similar documents we produce specifically for you are delivered to you as a work product: you own the final document and are free to use it in your own applications.

9. Confidentiality

We treat the information you share with us in confidence. We will not disclose personal details about your circumstances to any third party without your consent, except where required by law. For information on how we handle your personal data under the UK GDPR, please see our Privacy Policy.

10. No guarantee of outcome

We work hard to help you succeed, but job searches, interviews and career outcomes depend on many factors outside our control — including market conditions, the decisions of third-party employers, and your own engagement with the process. We do not, and cannot, guarantee any particular outcome, including but not limited to interviews, offers or salary levels. Any success statistics we publish reflect historical averages and are not a promise of individual results.

11. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under English law.

Subject to the above, our total liability to you under or in connection with any engagement — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), for breach of statutory duty or otherwise — shall be limited to the fees actually paid by you to us under the relevant engagement.

We will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, or loss of reputation, howsoever arising.

12. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please tell us as soon as possible by emailing [email protected] with the subject line “Complaint.” We aim to acknowledge all complaints within two working days and to provide a substantive response within ten working days. We take feedback seriously and use it to improve our practice.

13. Events outside our control

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, industrial action, power outages, pandemics, or the failure of third-party telecommunications services. Where such an event occurs we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and agree a revised timeline or, where appropriate, a refund.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim, except that if you are a consumer and you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you reside.
